The nearest judiciary is in Knutsford. The Sessions house has recently(2003-4) been given a stay of execution with the fabric of the building being repaired.

In days gone by, there used to be a prison on the adjacent site, where Booth’s Supermarket now stands. When it was demolished some of the structure was used in and around the district; it is thought that some of the doors used for houses on Edenfield Road, came from the prison.

Law and order is upheld by Cheshire Police. The county is split in to a number of areas and Mobberley is within the Macclesfield Division. The nearest manned police stations are Knutsford Tel: 01625 534700 (note as Wilmslow) and Wilmslow Tel: 01625 536222, 01625 534700.
A mobile office visits the village on a regular basis.
